BotsIQ Launches New Logo:
As of June 2004 BattleBots IQ was officially incorporated as BotsIQ, Inc., a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. BotsIQ is comprised of different robotic competitions as well as Teacher Trainings and Curriculum. We have instituted a new logo for BotsIQ-even though we'll be introducing a new look for the program, we are still the same great team working for you and your success! BattleBots Inc. is still a proud supporter of the work we do and we are grateful for their support!

New Events:
The 2007 National Competition will play host to two new events as follows:

1) The Mayor's Cup:
All Teams will have the opportunity to have BotsIQ contact their hometown Mayor and invite him or her to drive the Team's robot in the arena on Saturday, April 14th. Mayors will be pitted against one another to see which Mayor is the best robot driver! The winning Mayor will take home a trophy. This is a great way to get your community involved with your team!

2) Battle of the Sponsors:
On Sunday, April 15th all national sponsors will have the opportunity to bring their OWN 120 pound robot and challenge any other national sponsor. This is an opportunity for major corporations to take part in the fun. This is also an opportunity for national sponsors to meet the Teams and see what awesome future employees you will all be!

Hotels, Car Rentals & Airports
The Greater Miami Visitor and Convention Bureau is working on securing the best room rates for Teams. Information will be coming soon.

Enterprise Rental Cars is providing a price conscious rental package for Teams. Details and a special URL will be posted on the BotsIQ website soon.

The best airport to fly into is MIA (Miami International Airport), but you may also fly into FLL (Fort Lauderdale International Airport), which is about 45 minutes from Miami (and often times has cheaper flights).

That's all for now. Further details will be posted on the BotsIQ website:
